An analysis to help you know what your current rank is based on the Entrance marks alone !!
Results of Kerala Engineering entrance 2011 is out. But the rank list is not published.
This year, marks of qualifying examination also is being added to the entrance marks to find out the rank. This rank will be published only after June 23. So all the aspirants have to keep their fingers crossed till then doing different calculations.
Meanwhile based on the scoresheet published in the site http://www.cee.kerala.gov.in/ceeranklist2011/main/frame.html, I did an analysis to see how many students figure in a particular percentage of marks based on the entrance marks alone.
This distribution will be updated based on the actual rank published after June 23. This will help to identify the impact of adding HSC marks also to the entrance marks.
Meanwhile those who got the entrance marks can now approximately see where there position is based on this graph.
Graph1 - Mark Range Vs No of students in that range (For marks above 450 in the entrance examination)
Graph2 - Mark Range Vs No of Students in that range (For marks in the range 10 to 450 in the entrance examination)
The data compiled is given below

It is a great job and thanks on behalf of all. It it possible to get the 450 - 550 range numbers in 10-mark intervals? Also, is an extrapolation possible with some assumptions w.r.t. Class XII marks and probable rankings?
Great job.this would help lot of people.
